The Fitness League is a Registered Charity governed by a Board of Trustees (the Council). The Council is elected by Association Members of the Women's League of Health and Beauty (the registered name of The Fitness League). The Fitness League is partly funded by Sport England and Sport Scotland.

Isolde McCullagh
Senior teacher for Ireland with over 60 years teaching experience. Established teacher training in Ireland.

Course Director and teacher with over 30 years experience. Deputy Chairman of Central Council of Physical Recreation.

Mr Peter HobdenFormerly a Director of Fenwick Ltd., Peter now runs two independent fashion stores. Married to Val, a TFL teacher, for 37 years.

A certified accountant, Sally specialises in auditing and producing accounts for small charities. Sally joined The Fitness League as a member of West Moors in 1999.

Fiona Gillanders
A Scottish Council member, Fiona is a teacher of some 26 years with 5 centres in Ayrshire and Renfrewshire. She is also Liaison Officer for Sport Scotland, organiser of Scottish Teachers’ Refresher Course, and co-producer of 3 Albert Hall items.
Professor Robert Jones - Non-Teaching Member
Former Chairman of the Welsh Hockey Association, Professor Jones retired from his role as Academic Director of The University Centre, Yeovil in December 2005 and is prepared to give time and the benefits of his extensive sports experience to The Fitness League.
Carolyn Kingdon
The immediate past Regional Officer for South West, Carolyn has been a TFL teacher for 25 years. She has 7 classes a week and has been a member of the Publications Group for 15 years.
Kathryn Gluyas
A League Teacher since 1977, Kathryn taught in Cornwall for a short time and thereafter in the North-East. A Member of the Publications group and the Teachers Association, Kathryn became chairman of the TA, a post she held for four years and during which time she represented the TA at Council meetings, forging a solid relationship between the two groups.
Pam Louden
A retired physiotherapist, Pam has been a member of The Fitness League for many years.
Rosemary Barber
A league teacher who qualified in 1962, Rosemary has participated in every aspect of The League. Rosemary recently retired as Chairman of the Teachers Association and having been a tutor for 20 years, now concentrates on being an assessor.
Sebastian Quigley
A graphic designer, Sebastian is the husband of League Teacher Caroline who is the editor of the magazines and other League publications. Sebastian has contributed greatly to The League over the years with his creative designs.
